Sandford Sheds is a watercolour at a the harbour in Sandford, Nova Scotia. The sheds are typically used for storage of fishing gear. They also make good subjects for painters. The image is 13 ½ x 9 ½”. With the matt and birch frame it ia 21 x 17″. The price is $200

Off Season is a local wharf with material used in the lobster season stacked and stored. It is a typical scene of our area in the summer as the season is in the winter. the image is 21 x 14.” With the double matt and birch frame it is 28 ½ x 21 ½.” The price is $495.

Heirloom is a watercolour of artifacts at the Yarmouth County Museum. While the lovely dress is the main subject, all of the other items are also part of the museum’s collection. Dumping Day Dreams is an imaginative watercolour. It reflects the first day of lobster season when the fishermen drop the traps – hence the loaded boat. But, all are thinking about the big catch. Image is 14 x 21″. With a gold metal frame, cream matt it is 19 x 26 ¼”. The price is $325

Diver 1 is a mono print.  These are basically created by putting ink and other materials on a plastic plate are running them with paper through a printing press. Sunrise is a watercolour on Yupo, a plastic like material that allows much chance and variety to a painting. It does not absorb pigment so tends to be quite bright. Image is 8 x 10 ½”. With the double black matt and frame it is 12 x 15″. Price is $95.

Eight Fishes Swimming (more or less) is an example of found and reinterpreted beach art. The base material is a fisherman’s pullover working suit. It was bleached by sun to produce light areas. My job was to collect it, clean it, interpret an image and put it on a frame. It is pretty striking. Great conversation piece. Image is 16 x 20″. No frame. Price is $60

Sailing is a small sailing impression piece done plein air. Idea was to capture the action and movement vs a realistic picture. It is just 5 x 12″. No matt. No Frame. Price is $40.

She Sells …. you know the rest, is a found object art construction. Why paint a big scallop shell when you already have one to display.  It is a beautiful shell on an complementary base. It is just 6 x 6″ Price is $30.

 

 

 

 

Ice is a watercolour on Yupo (plastic like) that allows for great some what controlled and somewhat random imagery. This one uses natural ground rock pigment to produce a cold feeling image. The image is 8 ¾ x 11 ¾”. With the matt it is 11 ½ x 14 ½ “. No frame. Price is $60.

Calgary Repaired is a street scene in Calgary while the building is under repair. The white tarping makes an interesting focal to highlight the people. The image is 8 ¾ x 11 ¾”. With frame, no matt, it is 10 x 13″. The price is $60

 

 

Rudders is a plein air watercolour of a popular local restaurant in Yarmouth, NS. Painted on a sunny summer day from the waterfront plaza. It is mounted on a light board. The image is 8 x 8″. No frame. The price is $40.

Wired Weird is a construction piece based on a computer monitor that fell off of a desk. Parts from it and other recycled parts were used for this new life as an art piece. It is free standing taking up 24 x 26 x 10″ os space. A great conversational piece for a special setting. Ideal for a computer services office. Price is $300

 

Rust Power is a minimalist geometric construction of recycled materials on a rust paper background. It is 8 x 10″ on a mounted board. No frame needed. The price is $40

 

 

 

RUN is composed of beach collected materials, including the name label. It is three dimensional. The lobster claw is a collector piece for sure. It is a work to make you smile. Good for conversation. The price is $60.

 

 

 

Power Failure is a bit of a cynical view of awards and their eventual demise. It is  an actual certificate folder. The inside contains a variety of awards and such collected over time. It also contains the original certificate. Yes. it is an unusual art piece. Closed it is 9 x 11 ½ inches. Price is $85.

Mars Attack’s is a construction build around the movie and its characters using re4cycled cat food containers and computer parts. Great conversation piece. It is 24 x 36″. The price is $225.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Switched On is a composition of recycled computer parts. It is about 10 x 12.” Price is $85.
